Wheat

Planted from late September to December and harvested in June.  Mid-October is a common planting time.  Planting depth is 1-3", deeper planting with drier conditions.  Granular fertilization for P & K normally takes place at planting.  Additional liquid nitrogen top dressing is often done in February.  For medium fertility soils, the total  N-P-K recomendation is commonly 85-60-60.  Most seed varieties are available just prior to planting time.
