Citrus Pulp is primarily an energy source. It would be a lower energy alternative to corn. Citrus pulp has a TDN around 70%. Often phosphorous, and protein are needed to complete a cattle diet with citrus pulp. Grazing cattle with plenty of grass seldom have a problem, but in a feed lot situation, animals should not be fed more than 60% to prevent ruminal parakeratosis.
