Greencastle soybeans were selected for tall, vigorous growth, lodging resistance, and forage quality and production. . Greencastle is a tall growing maturity Group VI forage soybean with resistance to southern stem canker disease. It has good lodging resistance. Plant at a rate of 50 lbs per acre unless mixing with other seed. Can be used for either forage soybean or in wildlife plots.  Planting depth should be 1-3".  Often planted at a rate of 50-70lb with a fertilizer rate of 0-40-70.  For maximum deer antler and body weight, increase fertilizer rate to 0-70-120.  Can be planted with 3-5lb of feild corn.
